Saturday, May 22nd, Fredericksen Wilderness Park, 10:00 - 2:00 pm  work party for new fairways.

Sunday, May 23rd, Kitsap Family Fun Run and Fitness Fair, 11:30 am - 3:00 pm, Kitsap Sun Pavilion at the Fairgrounds. This annual event is sponsored by the Kitsap Medical Society Foundation and is promoted by the local PE teachers.  Nearly 700 participants are expected this year!  We set up two portable baskets inside the Pavilion and encourage kids and adults to try putting.  Talking up the local courses and the game is fun, but we could use some more volunteers.  Please remember that we need community involvement and recognition to keep our courses, so your help in this endeavor will be appreciated.  Let John Cohoon know if you are available for an hour or two on Sunday afternoon!

04/23/10  WSDGA Board election results: President Paul Wright, Vice President Dan Glynn, Treasurer Sam Huff, Secretary John Cohoon, At Large Members Luke Cherney, Jason "Tex" Garrett, Carl Wark.  Thanks to the hard-working crew who completed the concrete work for #3 and #16.

Baskets at N.A.D. will be in short position from today through Saturday's WBDGW bring your own partner mixed doubles event; then long through the Whiners in the Woods weekend.  Thanks, Tex Garrett!

Help needed!

The work continues on our 18 hole Championship Tournament Course at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds and Events Center. Nine holes are up and running with concrete tee pads and DGA Mach V baskets. The nine newest holes for the course have been groomed and plans were made to pour concrete pads on Saturday morning, March 28th, 2009.  Unfortunately, we were rained out.  Rescheduling this project is nearly impossible, because County equipment needed to transport materials is not available.  Now we are looking at doing one teepad at a time.  Volunteers are needed for this labor intensive job!  If you enjoy the teepads at NAD, please consider doing your part to help.

We're still hoping for a grand opening of the course in late May or early June.

Come and play random doubles:

Saturday mornings, N.A.D., 9:00 am

Sunday mornings, Fairgrounds, 9:00 am

Wednesday evenings, Fairgrounds, 5:30 pm done for the season

Upcoming Board Meeting

The next WSDGA General meeting & Elections will be held on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 5:00 pm N.A.D. Park.
